Michael Jeffrey Fry
March 31, 2016
Michael Jeffrey Fry, 22, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016. He was born April 13, 1993 at Camp LeJeune Naval Hospital, CLNC to Jeff Fry and Christine Fry Moore.
Michael attended Lincoln High School and DMACC where he studied fire science. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his girls. He was social butterfly and was fun-loving and goofy. He wouldn’t hesitate to jump in and play hopscotch with Bella to make her smile. Michael was always there for a friend. He’d lend a helping hand working on cars or anything that needed to be fixed. He enjoyed fishing and loved the ocean. He missed the warm North Carolina climate, but even though he hated the cold Iowa winters, he still loved the way the Des Moines skyline looked at sunset from MacRae Park.
He is survived by his father, Jeff (Sue) Fry; mother, Christine Moore; sister, Heather (Chris) James; daughter, Isabella Fry; fiancée, Jackie Miller; nephews, Skylar and Connor James; step-sisters, Shannon Drennon and her daughter, Bernadette and Sam Mcleod; grandparents, Norman and Helen Fry, Robin and Judy Harris, and David Gates; great-grandmother, Rubye Mundell; and many aunts, uncles, and other extended family.
Michael was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Irene Bates, Jim and Karen Janssens, and Dayton and Louise Gates; and his cousins, Megan Gates and Devin Fry.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 3rd at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines, with visitation from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. and funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family or to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention via afsp.org.
Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Christine - there are no words for losing a child; one so full of life and the spitting image of you! All I can give you is a prayer for comfort, and joy in remembering, each time you hold your little grandchild and watch her grow. Love and prayers from Kansas.

Oh Michael, this is so hard to write. You are our friends' son and our oldest daughters friend which makes it especially hard. You will be greatly missed and we will think of you often. Its just so hard to understand why someone so young had to go. May you rest in peace now. Love always, the "Lunatics"
