Ywvetta Maxine Fuller, 96, was born on September 11, 1919, to Samuel and Daisy Blair on their farm near New Virginia, Iowa. Ywvetta passed away on Good Friday, March 25, 2016.

Ywvetta later lived with her parents and her sister, Mary Jean, on farms near West Des Moines and attended Valley High School through her sophomore year. The family then moved to the Norwalk area where Ywvetta graduated from Norwalk High School in a class of 26 in 1936.

She married Walter N. Fuller on September 10, 1939. The couple had two children, Janet and Gene. Ywvetta assisted Walter with his garage service business, Fuller Tractor Service, performing bookkeeping and logistical services until Walter's retirement. In addition to being a wonderful and dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother, Ywvetta's passion was crafting over 100 quilts for which she was well known. She was also a member of West Des Moines Christian Church for 60 years.

Ywvetta is survived by her daughter, Janet Fuller Wright, West Des Moines; her son, Gene Fuller (Jacquelyn), The Villages, Florida; grandsons, Kevin Wright (Kimberly), Andrew Fuller (Allison), Jeffrey Fuller (Erin), and Steven Fuller (Angela); eight loving great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Jean Hall, Lincoln, Nebraska; nieces, Linda Martin and Rosemary Washburn; and nephew, Blair Hall. Ywvetta was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 63 years, Walter N. Fuller.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, March 30, at the West Des Moines Christian Church, 4501 Mills Civic Parkway with visitation one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will occur later in the day at Jordan Cemetery.
