Mary Jane Bearce

Mary Jane was born February 20, 1939, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to Laurence and Margaret Combs. She died March 21, 2016, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mary Jane lived many places in her life, but spent the last 10 years in the Altoona area. She loved cooking, crocheting, and camping, and loved animals of all kinds.

Mary Jane is survived by her children, Julie McIntosh, Brian (Judith) McIntosh, and Jayne (Jack) Templeton; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 5 brothers, and 4 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW in Altoona, with burial to follow at Bondurant Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
