Shelley Denise Bailey, 52, went to be with her Lord after passing away peacefully after a long courageous battle from Sarcoidosis on Sunday, March 13, 2016. She was born January 11, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa to Sherman and Shirley (Dixon) Bailey.
Shelley graduated from Roosevelt High School and Colorado Institute of Art. She loved animals especially her beloved dogs, Manman, Sweetie, and Buddy. Shelley enjoyed knitting, cooking, styling hair, listening to music, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.
Shelley is survived by her children, Patrick (Angela) Shivers, Chelsea (John) Shivers, and Cameron (Angie) Shivers; siblings, Mark Bailey, Kristi Bailey, and Jodi Bailey; grandchildren, D’Vontae Shivers, Dereon Shivers, Destinee Shivers, and Carmello Shivers; aunts, Linda Dixon, Mary Lynne Jones, and Laural Clinton; longtime friend, Patrick Shivers; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandchildren, Zacarius Brown and Mariah Shivers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Shelley.

So sad to hear about Shelley's passing. Went to school with Shelley and Jodi. Shelley was always upbeat and could make you laugh. I know that she had been sick for sometime. My deepest sympathy to her family. Gone too soon. Rest in peace.

Idk where to start but I miss you! I keep picking up the phone to call and see why I haven't heard from you until I remember why. Thank you for always being like a mom to me and the best Grandma to me & PJs kids. They miss you and Dessy says she wants grandma all the time but I know you already know because you're watching over all of us. Love you sweet cheeks...RIP

You willl truly be missed upon the fact that I only got the chance to meet you about four times and that's when you were in the hospital and I absolutely thought that you pulled through then and you were goin to be okay but Jesus had diffetent plans for you obviously and you aren't in anymore pain and your not suffering any long I was a close friend of latice and then but I am currently distance from them but amen the battle is now out father's I'll see you again some other time

I remember Shelley and going to school with her at Edmunds and probably, Callanan. She was always kind to me, friendly, and had a smile. I am so sorry to hear of her passing at such a young age.Her children, grandchildren, family and friends have my sympathy and my prayers. Rest now and receive your reward.

I am so sorry to hear about the lost of Shelley I grew up across the street from her on 9th st I played with her kids she was so nice and always smiling I Am so sad and will be praying for the family stay strong and stay blessed
