Linda (Austin) Lupinacci, 67, was born September 15, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Frederick Jack and Madeleine M. (Van Gundy) Austin. She departed this life Monday, March 7, 2016.
Linda graduated from East High School in 1966. On August 27, 1986, she was united in marriage to Joseph Lupinacci, Jr. in McKinney, Texas. Joe and Linda worked side by side in their carpet business in McKinney. Her presence and laughter could fill any room. She knew no stranger. Linda loved her family, friends, and her animals. She was a person full of life, zest, and fun, with a heart big enough for anyone she met.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Austin and Hazelwood; maternal grandparents, Van Gundy; father, Frederick Jack Austin; brother, Larry D. Austin; son, Eric D. Ashworth; and her grandchildren, Andrew and Shavon.
Linda is survived by her husband, Joey Lupinacci, Jr., who was her savior, her best friend, and the love of her life. In Joe’s eyes, Linda could do no wrong and was his world. She is also survived by her son, Kevin D. (Lisa) Ashworth; mother, Madeleine M. Austin; sister, Jackie (Tom Sr.) Aeschliman; sister-in-law, Jackie Marie (Noe) Austin; her stepson, Joseph Lupinacci III; grandchildren, Hillary, Trevor, Elijah, Hailey, Dalton, and Kaden; great-grandchildren, Cambree and Ocean; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be missed by all.
The family will say their goodbyes with a private family viewing and cremation will occur. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help alleviate funeral and medical expenses.

I am so sorry to hear about Linda. I wish I would have known she was in Iowa sooner so that I could have visited her. Linda, I loved you like my own sister, and even though when I married your brother I was young, foolish, and quite selfish, saying or doing some things that I know must have hurt you, you quietly saw through all that to my real heart, and you never said a mean word to me and were patient and so supportive of me. Your love and actions made me grow up and care more about others. You will always be my sister, and I will see you again in heaven. Mom and Jackie, take comfort in knowing Linda is now with her Heavenly Father and is no longer in pain.
