Patricia "Pat" A. Keenan

Patricia “Pat” Keenan, 80, was born April 23, 1935, in Valparaiso, Nebraska to George and Margaret Barry. She passed away at Fleur Heights Care Center on March 5, 2016.

Pat enjoyed stamping, collecting teddy bears and scrapbooking. She volunteered many hours in libraries throughout the Ankeny School District. Pat was a member of Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church.

Pat is survived by her children, Michael (Jennifer) Keenan and Kathy Keenan; grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Keenan, Logan Keenan and Makenzie Keenan; four brothers, Bill (Dee) Barry, Dick (Verna) Barry, Bob (JoAnn) Barry and Joe (Rosemary) Barry; and three sisters, Rose Marie Randall, Mary Barry and Rita Coleman; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Keenan; and brother, Mike Barry.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in loving memory of Pat.
