William Burns

William “Bill” J. Burns, 74, died Saturday, November 25, 2006. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at SS John & Paul Catholic Church, 1401 1st Avenue South , Altoona. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
Bill was born July 3, 1932 to Edward and Pearl Burns is St. Francisville, Illinois. He graduated University of Illinois and worked in agriculture sales for most of his career. Bill was a great inspiration to all those who came in contact with him. He had an amazing ability to teach, train, and inspire men and women in sales techniques and building quality interpersonal relationships. His life was built on his faith in Christ. Bill was a member of SS John & Paul Catholic Church.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jane; children, Grace Burns, Pete (Kris) Burns, Regina (Nazur) Zormati, Marti (Tom) Ware, Joan Burns, and Ann Burns; stepchildren, Mike Pullen, Jill (Heath) Fitzsimmons; and Jena (Eric) Wiggins; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Marge) Burns and Louis Burns; brother-in-law, Glenn Cummins; and a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rosemary Cummins; and sister-in-law, Jean Burns.
Memorial contributions may be given to SS John & Paul Catholic Church.
