Margaret A. Parrott

Margaret A. Parrott, 82, passed away from complications of Alzheimer’s on March 1, 2016, at Valley View Village in Des Moines. She was born February 19, 1934, in Des Moines, to Richard and Margaret Warburton.

Margaret devoted her life to lovingly taking care of her disabled son. She was very artistic and enjoyed creating artwork with oil paints and watercolors.

Margaret is survived by her children, Elizabeth “Lisa” (Scott) Baker and Brian Parrott; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Andrea) Sanzani-Bocci, Malinda (Aaron) Malcolm, and Adam Baker; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kennedy, Brogan, and Jillian; sisters, Linda (Larry) Culver and Mary (Tim) Crewse; as well as other loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Parrott; and brothers, Richard, Thomas, David and Russell Warburton.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.

The family would like to thank the staff at Valley View Village for their exceptional care of Margaret during this difficult time.
