Robert "Foxx" Proctor

Robert Proctor, 66, passed away on February 29, 2016, at his home in Des Moines. He was born July 24, 1949, in Des Moines, to Charles and Elizabeth Proctor.

Bob graduated from East High School where he was a member of the swim team and worked as a lifeguard in the summers. Bob owned and operated Tow Trk Services and also worked for ARS in Saylor Township. Later, he worked for PBS Landscaping and served as a groundskeeper at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery for 7 years. Most recently, he was a school bus driver for the Saydel School District.

Bob was a true outdoorsman and avid bicyclist who enjoyed participating in RAGBRAI. He also enjoyed motorsports with his family and was a previous member of the MidIowa 4-Wheelers and Cedar 4- Wheelers.

One of Bob's most meaningful achievements was becoming an ordained minister and officiating his son's wedding ceremony.

Bob is survived by his son, Wyatt (Star) Randolph; granddaughter, Caitlin Randolph; and his siblings, Charles (Karen) Proctor, Elizabeth McNeeley, and Steve (Sharon) Proctor; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Red Cross, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or Taylor House Hospice in loving memory of Bob.
