Lynn Lawrence

Lynn Lawrence passed away Monday, February 29, 2016. Lynn was born on September 3, 1952 in Brawley, California to Lester and Lawanda Lemaster. She moved to Des Moines in 2014. Lynn had an in-home daycare while her children were growing up. Once her children were older, she pursued a career in the medical field working at Pioneer Memorial Hospital and later at Imperial County Jail. Lynn enjoyed crafts, TV, movies and casinos. She had a special love for animals and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Lynn is survived by her children, Mellisa (John) Gilman and Daniel (Sara) Lawrence; granddaughters, Jessica Lynn Priddy and Braelynn Rylee Lawrence; siblings, Trubee, Cindy and Greg; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per her wishes, Lynn has been cremated and no services are planned.
Memorials contributions may be directed to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in loving memory of Lynn.

Aunt Lynn was so full of life and lived each day to the fullest...Most would say that she was the life of the party... Aunt Lynn loved to spend time with family and friends and will be greatly missed by many.. Our thoughts and prayers go out to both Melissa and Danny may God comfort you during this time of need... I am so sorry for your loss. Reading of her passing left me heartbroken. She was a women full of life and vigor that taught me life is to short to be too serious. I will miss her but have many fond memories of her and her best friend BOB. Love you Lynn

I'm very sad to hear of the passing of an old friend. I shall forever remember Lynn as special to my family, my mom Jean Wellsandt thought the world of her. May they both rest in peace in the arms of the lord.
