Jerry Lynn Sohn, 73, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center.
Jerry was born September 27, 1942 in Sacramento, California to George and Marjorie Sohn. He retired from Crown Ready Mix where he had worked as a driver and diesel mechanic for many years. Jerry was just an overall nice guy who enjoyed helping others. He was the “go to mechanic” on the Southside, who never met a mechanical problem he couldn’t solve.
Jerry is survived by his children, Allen (Kathy) Sohn and Lori McWilliams; grandchildren, Christina (Hicham) Sibouih, Alicia (Dave) Thomas and Mitch (Kathleen) McWilliams; great-grandchildren, Erin, Erika, Rania, Amine, Yasmine and Chaimae; siblings, Randy Sohn, Steve Grant and Rochelle Sohn; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 47 years, Beatrice.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

I m sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I worked with Jerry for years. Jerry was a super mechanic, an excellant guy to work with and a great friend. We had many good times and enjoyed working together. I miss those days very much. My condolences to all. I'm sorry I will not be able to attend.

Sorry to hear that Jerry passed. I worked with him at Crown and have a lot of memories. It was a pleasure to have knowed Jerry, Alan sorry for your lost. I'am in Arizona and can not be there.

Wish I had something real profound I could say that will take some of the hurt but I know nothing removes that ache Just know we pray for peace for your family..
