Roberta M. Gorman, age 94, passed away from this life on February 26, 2016 at the Corydon Specialty Care Home.

Roberta was born October 22, 1921 in Creston Iowa to Albert and Lucille (Ricedorff) Shepherd.

She enjoyed crocheting and genealogy. Roberta was the true matriarch of her family. Every holiday was held at her home. She took great joy in cooking and making her family comfortable. Above all the love of her grandchildren will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Lewis) Ericson and son, Craig Gorman. Along with her nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Roberta is preceded in death by her husband, David Gorman, I; son, David Gorman, II; her parents; three brothers; a brother-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law.

Upon her request cremation has occurred and a private burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, David Gorman, I.
