Judith Arlene Stephens, 54, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was born April 3, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert and Mary (Wheeldon) Stephens. Family meant everything to Judith. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a very loving grandmother. She enjoyed cleaning her house and loved her cats. Judith loved nature and gardening and she supported environmental and civil rights. She collected M&Ms, rocks, and coins. Judith kept her Christmas decorations up all year long and she did lots of cross-stitch when she was younger.

She is survived by her children, Allen (Katie) and Alion (Amber); mother, Mary; grandchildren, Samirah, Ashlynn, Ayla, Kayden; sister, Beverly; and many other family and friends. Judith was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy and father, Robert.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 4, beginning at 1:00 pm, at the Christian Life Church, 421 South 2nd Avenue, in Newton. A pot-luck meal and fellowship time will follow.
