Annie Yowell, 69, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016. She was born on June 5, 1946 in Amarillo, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; children, Derek (Linda) Hulsebus and Lisa Baxter; grandchildren, Zachary and Hannah Hulsebus, Emma, Owen, Eden Baxter; sister, Kay (Tim) Campbell; and all of her adopted AA children.
Annie was preceded in death by her siblings, Rick and Becky.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines with visitation one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Blank Children’s Hospital in loving memory of Annie.

Ann Schleusener and her family were our childhood neighbors and our oldest friends along with the Kruml family. We all grew up together, played and worked the farms. My prayers to her sister Kay, children and husband. RIP, old friend.

I'm happy to have had the benefit of learning from her. She will be greatly missed, but her wisdom will continue to live on in all the lives she has touched. I am a better person because of Annie, and that is a true testament of a life will-lived.
