Jesse R. Shepard

Jesse Riely Shepard, 49, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. He was born May 24, 1966 in Des Moines to Arthur and Marilyn (Roseberry) Shepard.

Jesse graduated from DMACC after studying mechanics. He worked the majority of his life in construction. Jesse’s number one priority was his family. He loved riding motorcycles, working on cars and spending time with his beloved dogs, Ginger, Cali, Mary and Buddy (R.I.P.).

He is survived by his wife, Danielle; children, Jeffery (Jasmine) Coffin, Jesse C. (Alyssa) Shepard and Dillan Shepard; grandchildren, Lucy K. Coffin and Trinity Rose Shepard; siblings, Norman (Sheila) Backstrom, Wes Backstrom, Joanne (Donny) Epps, Todd (Crystal) Shepard and Charles (Della) Shepard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Crystal Rose Barb in 2001.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 also at the funeral home.
