Kat, Connor, and Family--
One never really knows what to say when someone you love passes. I met Marvin in 1st grade and continued through high school with him. Although we were never close, I have always considered him an old friend. Marvin was fun and full of life. I hope you know that he was loved and is remembered by many of his classmates as well. May God guide you and help you find peace during this difficult time.

Kathy, I just wanted to say we are thinking of you and what you are going through.I'm so sorry for your Loss. God sure works in mysterious ways, some of which we will never understand. The memories of your life together will get through this. Just remember... "We could've missed the pain, but we would've had to miss the dance." Love you! Hugs.

I had the opportunity to meet Bennett years ago and we would always talk sports and his love for the Redskins. He always had a smile on his face when you saw him and was full of life. It has been a few years since I last saw him, but I want to be express my thoughts and prayers to Kat, Connnor, and his entire family.

M.C. was a wonderful, Godly man. It was a pleasure to know him and study the Bible with him. I know my husband enjoyed neighboring on the south side with him. He put his problems aside and cared for those around him. He expressed his love for Kat in beautiful ways. You will be missed.

MC ..We know the Lord needed you back home, we understand. But such a loss was left behind. Kat and you have such a tremendous testimony that was shared. Your faith and fight was admirable. We know Kat will continue, faithfully, with help and support from lots of friends and family. We cherish your memory of us all being in Mayo during the same time and again at Mercy. Your love for the Lord and life you led, along with living the Word, demonstrated what a true Christian really is. We are sad that we can't attend services but know we hold you in our thoughts and prayers, you and your loved ones. God bless you and loved ones and we pray He provides strength and peace during this time and in the future. Hugs from us.

Just learned this morning of Marvin's passing. I've known Marvin for 20+ years. Even though I only saw him every once in a while, he would always greet me with a BIG bear hug the instant he saw me. He will be missed. :.(

So much I could say, I thank you for giving me our son who is such a mini you and for somehow catching the most amazing beautiful woman into our lives, you soulmate Kat!! I have learned so much from Kat and you through this journey you have fought and what true love really looks like!! I am so proud of you and your determination to not give up because of Connor and Kat the true loves of your life that with God molded you into such an amazing man that just like so many said made a friend everywhere you went, a father to our son ( which the two of you together oh my thank God Kat and I are strong woman and we love so deep we were able as a team to keep the two of you grounded!!) I still am struggling with being able to call you and ask what did that football play mean or why can't I find my Steelers on to watch. I honestly never thought we would be here at this time in life but I understand God's ways are not always ours and I already miss you soooo much the phone calls telling me I really think Connor needs this or that and should go do this or see that.If any event was going on or a new restaurant opening B would know and always make sure I was aware to make sure I would take our son either with me or with Kat and him. You treated Kat like the queen that she is and how lucky we are to have been blessed with her in our lives with our son and she loves Connor as her own and vice versa Connor loves Kat the same!! I know you were so concerned we wouldn't all stay close but the bond our family has is so special and unbreakable and nothing will ever change that!! I love u B and we are holding your beautiful wife very close to us!! #bennettstrong

Marvin was probably one of the nicest guys I ever met. I had the privilege of working with him and becoming his friend. He was so full of life. I have great memories of hanging out with him after work and on our days off. Marvin was full of style and class and would light up a room or situation with his big personality and heart. Anyone I ever introduced him to immediately gained a new friend. From his crazy dance moves to stylish clothes and smooth talking, you couldn't help but just love the guy. He will be missed dearly.
