Kim Renee Courtney, 55, passed away quietly with family by her side on Sunday, February 14, 2016. A memorial service will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 20.
Kim was born April 23, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa where she was a life-long resident. Kim enjoyed watching HGTV, decorating her home, and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.
She is survived by her son, Arthur (Nikki) Courtney; daughter, Stephani Martin (TC Cairns); sisters, Liz (Terry) Harvey and Debbie (Michael) Moraine; brother, Lawrence “Bud” Jr. (Jean) Courtney; and four grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her two feline boys, Troubles and Sox. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence “Bud” Sr. and Shirley Courtney.

The last time I seen you we were at my dads after funeral party, I guess you could call it that. I still to this day don't know what you and your sister were drinking but dang you guy's were funny. We had a few talks on face book and it was funny how we both thought because of our goofy family blood line we were all half nit wits so crap we did was really not our fault,lol... Why your up there getting comfy say hi to everyone and until we meet again keep watch over your family as they will miss you most. RIP Cousin, Little Ron!
