Dennis Erickson, 74, passed away at his home Saturday, February 13, 2016.

Dennis was born December 29, 1941 in Des Moines to Clara (Geske) and Edwin Erickson. Dennis owned Shell Gas Station on Grand Ave. in West Des Moines for many years. He was a huge animal lover – especially loved his dogs, Eeyore and Bella. He also collected cars, Harley Davidson memorabilia and Corvettes. Dennis enjoyed watching and rooting for all Iowa teams.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Shannon Lovett (Erickson); granddaughter, Angelika Rose; nieces, Billye Jo (Leo) Ryan and Lynda (Gary) Stone; nephews, Ed (Julie) Erickson and Scott Erickson; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara (Geske) and Edwin Erickson and brother, William (Joan) Erickson.

The family will greet friends Saturday, February 20, 2016 beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
