Beartlee McCullough

Beartlee McCullough, 89, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the Good Samaritan in Indianola. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday November 2, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton, Iowa.
Beartlee was born August 2, 1918 in Crickett, Iowa to Joseph and Maude Miller. She worked as a resident counselor at Quakerdale Homes where she changed the lives and hearts of many children. Beartlee loved to read, cook, and spend time with children. She was a devoted mom, grandmother, and a mother to many children throughout her life.
Beartlee is survived by her son, Tony McCullough; daughter-in-law, Linda McCullough; grandchildren, Alyson and Connor McCullough, and Courtney Johnson; great-grandson, Noah Gracey; many nieces; nephews; and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh McCullough; son, Michael McCullough; daughter, Sandra McCullough; parents; and ten brothers and sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to Quakerdale Homes or Hospice of Knoxville.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
