Jason Knowles
October 29, 2007
Beloved son and brother, Jason Lee Knowles, age 34, was brought home to God’s loving arms Sunday, October 28, 2007 in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St., with burial to follow at Webb Cemetery in Spring Hill, Iowa.
Jason will be remembered for his beautiful smile, free spirit, his gentle and compassionate heart and his love for the outdoors with the freedom it offered. Jason had a genuine concern for anyone in need – especially the homeless, both people and animals. He dearly loved and was loved in return by his nephews and niece – Christian, Caleb and Caitlyn Lucht.
He leaves behind his parents, Bob Knowles and Chris and Larry Chapman; sister and brother-in-law, Melody and Chad Lucht; grandmothers, Mary Knowles, Rose Marie Johnson and Eloise Olds; girlfriend, Wanda and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to have known him.
The family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Churches Homeless Shelter.

I am so sorry to hear about Jason's passing. He was a friend to both my sons Kenny and Brent Killen and spent numrous times at our home when we still lived in Des Moines. Please know that God is with you and your family and somehow time seems to make the hurt easier later on down the road.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I can't imagine the pain of your loss, and my heart and prayers go out to you. Jason was a loving soul, a beacon of love and hope and compassion to all who knew him. I understand that knowing he is with Jesus in eternal bliss doesn't ease the pain of losing him in our world, but it is through Christ that you can seek the comfort of knowing that someday you'll be reunited for eternity. Jason will live on in the memories and hearts of those who were blessed enough to know him.
Praying for you,
Melissia
