Elizabeth Hinkley

Elizabeth J. Hinkley, 85, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 21, 2007 in Plano, Texas. The body has been cremated and graveside inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2007 at Avon Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born May 5, 1922 in Des Moines, the youngest of 4 children, to Everett Ray and Ida Belle (Ash) Gillaspy. She lived in Des Moines over half of her life before moving to Texas in 1977. She married Stanley Hinkley in 1939 and to this union 1 child was born.
She retired from Minyard’s Foods of Texas in 1989 after 12 years of service.
She enjoyed watching and listening to the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers baseball teams.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Edwin Ray and his wife, Judy of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren, Craig Hinkley of Long Island, New York, Cheryl Dooley and her husband, Kevin of Denver, Colorado, Christopher Hinkley and his wife, Monique of Keller, Texas and Catherine Hinkley of Allen, Texas; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley; her brothers, Argyle and Francis Gillaspy and her sister, Crystal Hall.
Hamilton’s Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
