Phillip “Felipe” Galvan, 71, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016. He was born March 31, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa to Celestino and Petra Galvan. He was a man of many talents and had a zest for life.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Penny; children, Theodore “Ted” Galvan, Celestino Galvan, Mark (Missy) Long, Timothy Galvan, and Jessica (Jason Fregia) Galvan; grandchildren, Mackayla, Cassidy, Amanda, Adora, and Stryker; siblings, Margaret Parker, Anita Lund, Gilbert Galvan Sr., and Carmen Calhoun; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Phillip Lee Galvan.

There will be a celebration of life at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, February 4, 2016.
