Janet J. Lamb, 76, passed away at Mercy Hospice Johnston on Saturday January 23, 2016. She was born March 6, 1939 in Des Moines to Robert and Katherine Cory.

Janet was a manager and pharmacy tech for Altoona Discount Pharmacy for over 20 years. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mom and grandma. She enjoyed antiquing and learning new things. Janet will be remembered as a warm, kind, and giving woman.

Janet is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lew; children, Jeff (Sonya) Lamb, Mike (Lynn) Lamb, Luann (Wayne) Robinson, Brad (Nancy) Lamb, and Amy (Ryan) Smith; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Mary Ann) Cory and Rodney (Cindy) Cory; sister, MarLynn (Vane) Overturff; dearest friend, Bev Christofferson; and a host of other family and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona.
