Stacy Jo Cox-Croy
January 17, 2016
Stacy Jo Cox-Croy, 49, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Unity Point Taylor House.
Stacy was born January 16, 1967 in Des Moines to Leonard and Nancy (Frye) Cox. She attended Norwalk High School. Stacy loved music and was an avid Elvis fan. She enjoyed watching old movies and sitcoms. She was a great cook, liked gardening and recently took up crafting. Above all, Stacy adored her family and loved watching her son Brandon race at the dirt track, son Garrett skate boarding and 10 month old grandson Kale flourish. Stacy had a kind spirit and was beyond generous. She took in her beloved friend (son), Tyler and was always willing to help anyone in need. She will continue to make a difference in the lives of others as she had chosen to be an organ donor.
Stacy is survived by her sons, Brandon (Kelsey) Cox and Garrett Croy; grandson, Kale; parents, Leonard and Nancy Cox; sisters, Jamie (Larry) Loffredo and Danielle (Josh) Glover; nieces and nephews, Devan and Noah and Kollin, Addie, Cooper and Cali; father of Garrett and beloved friend, J.R. Croy; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her best friend, Deanne.
The family will greet friends from 9 to 10 a.m. with the funeral service following at 10 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Stacy will be laid to rest at 1 p.m. Friday at Leon Cemetery in Leon, Iowa.
