Mae Louise Woods

Mae Louise Woods, 83, passed away of natural causes on January 14, 2016, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. She was born April 15, 1932, in Iowa City, to William and Jenny Daggett.
Mae was a longtime Certified Medical Aide at Woodward Nursing Home. She had a variety of hobbies that included knitting, making quilts, coloring, fishing, and camping. Mae was a wonderful cook and was known for her spaghetti sauce and potato soup. Above all, she loved being with her family and cherished their time spent together.
Mae is survived by her children, Jennie Covey, Karen (Randy) Benz, RoseMary (Shay) Weir, Ronnie (Rachel) King, Ruth Ann King, and Melvin (Heather) King; 21 grandchildren, numerous great and great great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Sheila) Daggett; sister, Pat McCain; as well as a host of other family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren and 10 siblings.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016, at Moffit Grove Cemetery in Yale, Iowa.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Louise's passing. Being in Texas makes it difficult to attend the services but know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of the family members. She will no longer be in pain and she'll be with her siblings that preceded her in death - including my father and mother. Love to all.

Always loved never forgotten grandma... it's good to know that you are looking down on all of us.... I just keep reminding myself you can walk and run now and of all the great, good, wonderful times like my under the sea musical you took me to we all miss you
