Hilda Hindal

Hilda Hindal, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was born April 10, 1928, in Conowingo, Maryland, the daughter of Harry and Helen Herrman.

Memories will live on with her survivors, her son, James Hindal, Sr. (Tanya); grandchildren, Tabatha Chiles (Josh), Stephanie Anania (Jeremy) and James Hindal II; great-grandchildren, Konner Chiles, Taylor Chiles, Sean Edwards, Emily Chiles, and Mykayla McFadden; brothers, Clifford W. Herrman and James B. Herrman; sisters, Charlotte Aiello, Jean E. Byrd, and Hazel M. Diehl; and nephew whom she helped raise and thought of as a son, Lyle Hill.

Hilda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willis; her parents; brother, Eddie Herrman; and sisters, Fern Phipps and Delores Colbert.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 12th at the funeral home followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
