Sandra Davis, 55, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, January 7, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born October 17, 1960, to Jay and Rose Butler in Des Moines, Iowa.
Sandra graduated from University of Phoenix and received her associate degree in accounting. She enjoyed reading, gardening, dancing, and spending time with her cat. Above all she loved her son with all of her heart.
She is survived by her loving son, William Davis III; siblings, William Butler, Clarence Delmott, and Phyllis Heiselman; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.

Billy and Phyllis. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Sandy. We hadn't been in contact for a few years now but were very close at one time. She forever touched my soul. Although I am profoundly saddened by her passing, I am comforted - as I'm sure you are - that she is at peace. I will never forget you, Sandy.

I was very sorry to hear about your mom Billy. She was a fun loving co-worker of mine a few years back. Every day could be an adventure with her and she made me smile more often than not. I wish you peace and patience during this difficult time.

Sandy has been a good friend for several years. She could always make me laugh when I needed it. Thanks for always being there for me. The stress of life is over and I am glad you are at peace. I will think of you often and with a happy heart and a smile. Love you!
