My condolences to the Jensen family.
I worked with Bill and Jim at Crescent Chevrolet back in the old days as a car detailer and service rental attendant before leaving to attend Iowa State University.
Everyone that worked there enjoyed spending time with Bill and loved to hear his stories. It was a pleasure to know such a kind and honorable man.

A nice, closely knit loving family has lost their Patriarch. I always enjoyed my visits with my Sister's Father-in-Law, Bill Sr. He and Joanne were the epitome of kindness and generosity. I never heard Bill Sr. say a harsh word about anyone over the course of the 25 years of our acquaintance.
Let's remember the good times and take comfort in Jesus' words as told by John:
----------------------------
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. 2 My Fathers house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going. (John 14)

Dear Joann/Sherry/Bill Jr/Julie/Jim:
Betty and I were so saddened today to learn of Bill's passing. I first meet the Jensen family at Hyperion when I was a 16 year life guard from NHS working for coach Jimmy Lyle, the pool manager. Everyone loved the Jensens as they were an attractive and friendly family who treated everyone with respect. It came as no surprise to us that both Bill and Joann were so kind to us when we become the GM dealer in Perry. They were so kind and supportive to us during those rebuilding years in Perry. Everyone loved Bill as he was an excellent new car dealer and highly regarded by everyone in the business. Our paths have crossed many times since we first met and we will fondly miss Bill as he was a wonderful family man. One thing we know for certain is that Bill is no longer suffering and is now in heaven smiling down upon us all. Our thoughts and prayers will be with Joann and her family in the days that lie ahead.

Very honorable man. We did business with him and Jim for years; our business was Auto Parts Warehouse. My dad, Joe Davis, at the age of 80, bought a brand new black 1999 Corvette from Crescent. He loved that car.
Bill was one of the best. Condolences to you, Jim, and to your family.

Dear Jensen Family,
I was so saddened to learn of the passing of my dad's dear friend, Bill Jensen. My dad, John Skinner, worked for Bill many years at Crescent and in our family, no man was finer than "Billy Jensen." Bill stood by my dad's hospital bed a few years ago and you could see the admiration those two had for each other as I heard my dad tell Bill how much he was going to miss him. My dad had just celebrated his 92nd birthday in the hospital and he knew he was leaving us soon. I knew seeing Bill would lift his spirits and it surely did. These two East High alums had so much respect for each other and it was an honor to witness their last few moments together. I'm so sorry for your loss of Bill. What a representation of a life well lived. Janean and Lary Lasswell
