Khamsouk Soulinthavong, 55, was born July 15, 1960 in Vientiane, Laos, the son of Seuang Soulinthavong and Thongdy Phommachanh. He passed away Monday, January 4, 2016.
Khamsouk was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gardening and he loved to sing karaoke. He worked as a welder for Chicago Bridge and Iron.
He is survived by his wife, Manyvone Vong; son, Corey Soulinthavong; 4 brothers: Scott Keo (Fawn) Soulinthavong, Khonesavanh (Sourichanh) Soulinthavong, Khamsene (Inngeun) Soulinthavong, Linnakone (Kham) Soulinthavong; 5 sisters: Sithavone (Bounloung) Bayrasy, Manivanh (Phranon) Philavanth, Southone (Tim) Dillman, Chansamone (Som-ok) Ratsamy, Naly Sichamphone; 44 nieces and nephews; and 64 great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery at a later date.
