I just learned of Vern's passing from the paper. I am so sorry to hear it. It was a privilege and pleasure to get re-aquainted with Vern the last several years, after a fifty-year gap. He had many great stories about my parents and grandparents. I really enjoyed talking with him.
Dee and Family: it has also been a pleasure to get to know all of you for the first time. Susan and I will hold you in our thoughts. All the best.

I was just a kid but your family was such a huge part of our lives growing up.. I know the Killens raised some amazing kids.. everytime my parents needed anything, one of the kids was there.. from babysitting to work around the place or animals we cared for. You all will always have a place in my heart. I am sorry for your loss but know that he and my dad are doing a lot of catching up right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
