Paul David Dornbusch, Sr. was born January 1, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa to Herman and Gladys Dornbusch. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Barbara, on October 23, 1971. He was a true betting man who enjoyed his horseraces, NASCAR, and football with a beer and a cigar. Paul passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the age of 68.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Barbara; children, Stevie, Danyell (Mark), Paul David II (Sara), and Chris (Collette); 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Deloris, Carolyn, and Sally; and brother, Don.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys; father, Herman; and son, Ronnie.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, followed by burial at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter, Iowa.
