Alberta Wells

Alberta Wells, age 99, of Johnston, Iowa, formerly of Sims and Bloomington, Illinois, passed away December 22, 2015 at the Hospice Center in Johnston.

She was the daughter of Jess and Lottie Marshel. She was married to Dail Wells who passed away in 1992. Alberta was a farm wife and also retired as a cook from Illinois State University. She was a member of the Christian Church in Heyworth, Illinois, a 50 year member or the Rebecca Lodge in Sims and belonged to the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, Norman (Mary Helen); six grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Beryl and Carson, a granddaughter, three sisters and three brothers.

Internment will occur at a later date.
