How fitting it is that God has called our dear father home to be with mom, Diana Heater, at her favorite time of year. His love for Collette and I extended to never considering us anything but full fledged daughters given that he reared us from infancy and toddlerhood. It is truly a difficult time for those he loved in Iowa and those of us who have known him as "DADDY" for 50+ years. Our prayers are with everyone, both in Iowa and Colorado.

Dad you will be remembered as someone who loved unconditionally. Your work ethic, integrity, sence of humor, smile, laugh and love of life will live in all of us forever. Thank you Judy for all the love you gave my dad. You truly made him happy. My dad never said step children for the 46 years I knew him. He tried to adopt Collette and Sheila as toddlers. He always referred to them as his daughters. He would not have referred to Cindy, Patty, Teresa, or Stephanie as step daughter's either. Dad would call everyone he chose to love"Family". I send my deepest sympathies to Judy at this time. Truly sorry for your loss.Thank you for taking such good care of my dad. He adored you and your family. Teresa - I saw a special tenderness from you and your children towards my dad.Cindy and Patty you supported your mom and my dad through all these final challenges. Stephanie- you were always giving valuable input along the way. Thanks, to all you girls for caring for my dad. I hope and pray that your service can be as nice in Iowa as our service was in Colorado. His celebration service was amazing. Friends and family from all around Colorado came to honor his memory and share special moments they remembered about dad. I know you all will make this Iowa service just as special. Thanks for everything.

Judy,
For the few short years you had Ron in your life, I know what a treasure you were to him. He loved you so much! Always enjoyed your humor. He'd look at me an giggle &
shake his head.
Your true love for him shined especially these last years of his life.
May he rest in peace!
Collette

I am so sorry for the loss of your husband, father, and friend. Uncle Ronnie was always a fun guy that smiled more than any man I have ever met. I will miss his laugh and contagious smile.
