Ronald Galvan, 49, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He lived life to its fullest and never gave up.

Ronald, who was known to his many friends as “Shooter” or “Ronnie”, was born April 16, 1966 in Des Moines, Iowa to Donna (Webb) Galvan and Joseph Bailliff. He was a jack-of-all-trades, working as both a truck driver and a chef during his career. While employed with Gainey Trucking, he was named Truck Driver of the Year two years in a row. He loved to cook and worked for Grandview College, Marriott, and 76 Truck Stop at different times in his life. He loved playing CafeLand on the computer and watching the Food Network and cooking shows. Ronnie was a NASCAR fan and liked watching WWE Wrestling and listening to music. He had a magnetic personality and strangers he met quickly became friends.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Jenean; mother, Donna Galvan; sister, Tammy (Doug) Bachmann; step-sons, Zachary and Marc Simmons; as well as numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Bailiff and his step-father, Stanley Gullion Jr.

According to Ronnie’s wishes, cremation has occurred. There will be a celebration of his life in the spring.
