My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Although, I know that I do not have the words to rationalize Cheri's death I want you to know that she was cared about and loved as the young lady she always was and the exceptional individual that was developing. I had Cheri for English and was her case manager at Roosevelt. Proud,is an understatement of how I felt about her. Her determination to succeed was obvious and the results she wanted did happen. Please keep that thought because she did prevail with her goals. I had much admiration for her strength to overcome her obstacles and will miss her visits back to room 208. Cheri always had a smile and that just made my day whenever she shared her experiences with me.
Please take care and cherish the memories of a truly unique young lady. We will all miss her. I mourn her passing but smile at her accomplishments.
Sincerely,
Patricia Schafer
