Anthony Oppenheim

Anthony Oppenheim was born April 25, 1998 in Des Moines. He passed away December 12, 2015.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, December 16th at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Celebration of Life will be 1 pm, Thursday, December 17th, also at Hamilton’s.

Anthony was a jokester and always had a smile on his face. He was known to his family and friends as a prankster and was always “tormenting” them with his jokes. That will be greatly missed. Anthony attended East High School and he worked at the Pleasant Hill HyVee. He enjoyed his job and was a very hard worker. He loved playing video games with his nephew, Devon and spending time with his dogs, Princess and Mr. Big. He will be missed by his girlfriend, Breanna and his friends, Dominic, Tron, Jonathon, and Dau.

He is survived by his mother, Jamie Oppenheim; his father, Gary Phillips; his sister, Megan Oppenheim; his brothers, Alan and Austin Phillips; his nephews, Devon Baetsle and Austin Jr., Aiden, and Mason Phillips; his grandmother, Sandy Oppenheim; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shelby “Nanny” and Elbert Phillips and James Oppenheim and his uncles, Mike Mercurio and Michael “Little Oppie” Oppenheim.
