Rodney William Studer, 63, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at his home in Clive.
Rodney was born May 12, 1952 in Sherburn, Minnesota to John “Jack” and Rita (Coombes) Studer. He enjoyed golfing, watching sports, and was a Minnesota Vikings fan.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Rita Studer; fiancé, Tammie Dabney; daughter, Jadee (Troy) Menke; grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner, and Tiara Menke; and his siblings, Vincent (Jo Anne) Studer, Julie (Richard) Coffin, Cynthia (Stephen) Weber, and Darla (Mark) Williams.
There will be services held at a later date in Minnesota.

Sure here are some memories of Rod. How about the alcoholism and the small child he beat when he was drunk. How about the woman and children he attempted to kill in a drunk rage and the state of Minnesota let him get away with it. All crimes he was never apologized for and never showed remorse. God will sort him out.

Much like Jeff I have fond memories of time spent with my cousins Rodney and Vincent during the summers just wish I could remember more of the details. Our heart felt prayers go up for Jack & Rita as well as the whole Studer family. May Gods promise thru His Son bring comfort and peace to His children.

My thoughts are with everyone in the Studer family and all friends of Rod. He was a good friend of mine - especially in our childhood years through high school and into our 20's. We spent many great times together, golfing, playing basketball, goofing off around town, even double-dating in high school. He had a great sense of humor and a quick mind. I can still see the smile and the laughing. We didn't see each other much after we passed through our 20's. I have missed his friendship and always thought of surprising him in Clive - and just hadn't done that yet. May that be a lesson to us all: Don't wait to visit or contact an old friend. Goodbye, my friend. Your friendship remains in my heart.
