Michael D. Chance

Michael David Chance, 76, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Mike was born January 11, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa to Donald and Vivian Chance.
He worked for Titan Tire for 40 years. Mike enjoyed fishing and deer and squirrel hunting. He liked spending time with his wife at their lake home at Rathbun Lake.

Mike is survived by his wife, Hannalore; children, Debra (George) Kellogg and Jeff, Mark, and Angie; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Lori (Jill), Robert, Ed (Bobbie), Russ (Elaine), Don (Jeanine), Bill (Deborah), and Donna (Wayne) Hammer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 11th at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12th, also at Hamilton’s, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
