Diane V. Kellar

Diane Kellar, 59, passed away from leukemia on December 3, 2015, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. She was born in Perry, Iowa, on March 17, 1956, to Donald and Verda Kever.

Diane worked at Principal in the mortgage department for 25 years prior to starting her career at Wells Fargo. She was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Polk City, Beaverdale VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #9127, and the Women’s Card Club.

Diane enjoyed flowers, gardening, and baking cookies. Above all, she cherished her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her husband of 38 years, Larry Kellar; daughters, Staci Allen and Lori (Adam) Vander Leest; her 4 grandchildren, Hunter, Brieanna, Colt, and Reed; siblings, Dennis Kever, Steve (Deb) Kever, and Carolyn Beehler; mother-in-law, Janiece Kellar, and a host of other family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Verda.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in loving memory of Diane.
