Jan Eileen Agan, 70, passed away of cancer at her home Thursday, December 3, 2015. Per her request, her body has been cremated and no services are planned.
Jan was born May 3, 1945 in Des Moines to Manning and Floy Anderson. She had a passion for flowers and retired from Florist Distributing, Inc., a job she truly enjoyed. Jan loved her pets and enjoyed cooking.
Jan is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Mike; sons, Bradley and Kurtis; granddaughter, Jade; a great-granddaughter; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jennie Fredregill.

Mike and Family. I am so sorry for your loss. Jan was a sweet person and always so friendly. She was a great receptionist in Gary's dental practice. You both became our friends. Your are in my thoughts and prayers

My thoughts are with you Mike and family. I met Jan in 7th grade, we walked to and from Callanan Jr. High school together, and our friendship continued to this sad day. I will miss her, we are diminished

Mike and family. So sorry to hear that Jan had passed. You have our condolences. It's hard to deal with after you two had all those years together, but may God soften the hurt you all feel. Jan was a very nice lady and Lori and I were proud to call her friend.The hurting is over for her now and may she now rest in peace. Our prayers are with you.

Mike, Brad & Kurt: I am so sorry to hear about Jan. Being neighbors to you since grade school, gives us lots of good memories. I remember Jan working in the yard and enjoying the flowers she planted. It's almost impossible to say how I felt about her. We met when we were 12 and have kept in touch all these years. She's been a sister to me in every way. She was a "dream friend", the kind of friend everyone dreams about having, happy, helpful, and loyal in every way. this is hard. I can't believe I can't pick up the phone and hear her voice, I will always love her and miss her. She was amazing. I do believe she's around us, just in a different way. Thank you God for bringing her into my life. I know how much she loved her family and I will ask God to give them strength. Till me meet again my sweet girl.

We did so many things together years back when we are a part of the Tri Five Chevy club. Had so many fun cruises, dances and events. Love and Prayers for all of you. Memories are precious. Pray for God to hold you in his loving arms and give you all strength.

It hurts to say goodbye to such a sweet and lovely person. Just got back in touch a couple of years ago and now have to say goodbye. Will never forget one of the last times we spoke she said I could come by if we could just talk about Jesus. We know where she is but I will miss her warm voice on the phone, the great cake and coffee she made, and the loving conversations. Many good memories when we were all much younger. Will keep the love of her life Mike in my prayers along with Brad and Kurt. Til we meet again friend.

Our hearts are heavy from the passing of this lovely lady. Aunt Jan was a beautiful person inside and out...always so kind, and wearing her sweet smile! It is a privilege to have had her in our family. She will always be remembered fondly.
