Nancy Jo McCann

Nancy Jo McCann, 68, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born in Knoxville, IA on May 15, 1947, the daughter of Edmund and Louise Nichols.

Nancy was a proud graduate from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1965. She was a homemaker who took great pride in devoting herself to her family and home. She was a member of Kingdom Life Family Ministries.

Throughout the years, she enjoyed cooking, canning and scrapbooking. Most importantly, she loved spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Jim “Mac” McCann; children, Marty (Warren Larsen) Beaver and Chris (Chris) Holkan; grandchildren, Scott E. (Kayla Eicher) Holkan, Brandon Holkan, and Kristi Jo De Hoedt; great-grandchildren, Karsin, Kali, and Makenlee; 3 step granddaughters and 1 step great-granddaughter; brothers, Cleo (Rhea) Nichols and Duane Nichols; as well as her sister, Shirley (Jerry) Wheatly. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with visitation of friends and family prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association in loving memory of Nancy.
