Roberta S. Polzin, 73, was born June 2, 1942, in Orient, Iowa. She passed away on November 12, 2015.
Roberta is survived by her daughter, Angie Whitney; grandchildren, Joshua, Wes and Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Henry, Ethan, Lexie and Natalie; sister, Kelly Sigmund; as well as nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2015, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 3424 Forest Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Sunday from 2 to 5p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Roberta.

Bert will be missed. She was a friend, comrade, co-worker and comfort to me many times. She could make us laugh, and let us cry. May God bless you, Angie and your family as you learn to be comforted by only a memory.

Bert was the one who comforted me at our dear friend Rosemary Jones' funeral. At that time I didn't know Bert, but became friends soon after. Will miss her at our quarterly luncheons. My love and prayers to her family.
