Maximillian "Max" Joseph Clark

Max Clark passed away November 6, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

He was born April 5, 1995 at home in Boone, Iowa to Jason and Stacey Clark. Max grew up in Stratford, Bettendorf, and Des Moines. In his youth he was involved in basketball, scouts, and a nature study group. Max was homeschooled throughout his life and graduated in 2013. From his teenage years on, he had a strong work ethic. He worked in fields including landscaping, food service, automotive and power tool repair. After graduation he drove across the country to pursue his dream of independence in Seattle, Washington.

Max will forever be remembered as an avid reader, an incorrigible prankster, and a curious traveler. He enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons, working on cars, music, science and debate.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Anna and Freedom; grandparents, John and Diana Clark, Randall Gould, Karen (Richard) McMahon; and many other loving family and friends

A celebration of Max’s life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 12 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines. Visitation will occur Friday evening from 4-7 p.m. also at the funeral home.
