Dear Jim: I was so so sorry to learn of your mother's death. Ellen was my Godmother when I joined the Catholic faith in 1965, and Doris was my confirmation sponsor. Your mother and Doris were so warm and welcoming when I came to Des Moines in 1963 with Bill Sueppel(Commisioner of Public Safety) as his Administrative Assistant. I remember she also gave me a wedding shower when I was married to John Smith. We all had some good times together. I am now living in central Florida (Mount Dora, 27 miles northwest of Orlando). She was such a wonderful person and I am sure you are a better person for having her as a mother. She talked about you all the time and I know she just adored you.
Warmest condolences,
Barbara Anderson

Jim, I am so sorry to hear about your mother passing. I hope your trip to Iowa goes well, as that is difficult when you are under a time pressure and
aditional heartache. Your mother sounds like she was an active woman, especially with the church. Take care of your precious family. My heart goes out to all of you. Love Vivian
