Sandra Ray

Sandra Kaye Ray, 62, passed away peacefully Monday, October 22, 2007 of cancer. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with cremation to follow the funeral.
Sandy was born July 7, 1945 in Des Moines, the daughter of Kenneth and Kathleen (Landers) Clark. She retired from the Des Moines Public Schools after many years of service. Sandy enjoyed knitting, gardening and baking. She gave her all in everything she did, from PTA to Prom Committees.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Kenneth Bryan Ray, Sr.; her three children, Kenneth Bryan (Karla) Ray, Jr., Frank Edward Ray II and Katie Lynn (Matt) Hutchinson. She was also a proud Grandma of four beautiful grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 12-2 p.m. Thursday prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa, Stoddard 3 West at Iowa Methodist, or Fleur Heights Care Center.
