Geraldine “Jeri” Maland, 84, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Hospital. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines.

Jeri was born June 10, 1931 to Wanda and Raymond Wadsworth in What Cheer, Iowa. She lived in California until 1993, then moved to Des Moines. She enjoyed family, especially being a grandma, watching the Food Network and soap operas, animals, and was very crafty.

Geraldine is survived by her children: Gary Maland, Keith (Helen) Maland, Kim (Greg) Burkhead, and Melanie (Barry) Greenfield; her sister, Aleda Mae Stevens; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; her parents; her brother, Bobby Wadsworth; and her sister, Sandy Adams.
