Pom Lothi

Pom Lothi, 83, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 at her home in Des Moines.

Pom was born December 16, 1931 in Son La, Vietnam to Pan Lovan and Mui Baccam. She enjoyed her children and her grandchildren as well as caring for her numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She also loved listening to Tai Dam music and reading scriptures from the Tai Dam Bible. Pom was a member of SOTAFF, Hak Hom, and Kadsan.

She is survived by her son, Peng Lovan, her daughter, Keo Soumphonphakdy, grandchildren, Alomsavanh, Tina, and Nicholas; and her great-grandchildren, Jessalina and Ashton. Pom was preceded in death by her mother, Mui Baccam, son, Khammeung Lovan, and her brother, Manh Lovan.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 3, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, November 4, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Cremation will follow the funeral and interment will take place at Glendale Cemetery in the Tai Dam section.
