Donald Ralph Green, Jr., 47, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Donnie was born June 15, 1968 in Des Moines, Iowa to Donald Ralph Green, Sr. and Dorothy Green.
He enjoyed shooting pool, playing darts, and gambling. Donnie was a very giving person and went out of his way to help people. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone smile. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Donnie is survived by his wife of 24 ½ years, Amy; daughter, Katelynn (David) Green-Medina; granddaughter, Nathalia Medina; siblings, Kevin (Penny) Collins and Cindy (Jason) Preston; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Vickie Bockenstedt-Brown; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in memory of Donnie.

I'm sorry you time with Donnie was so short ,it's never easy to say good by, I hope you all have lots of good memories to share, I'll always remember when I baby sat him .when shopping @ Kmart he got in the balls they went every where, well that was the only time I took him to the store .he's little horns showed many times but he was a sweet heart. I'm sorry I didn't get to know him all grown up.. LOVE ALWAYS

It Saddens me deeply to hear about the passing of my life long dear friend Donnie . We go way back to kindergarten at Phillips together. I will surely miss you and think of you often old friend. We had some good times. Though U maybe gone U will never be forgotten.
Amy and Family May U take comfort in knowing that Donnie was truly one of a kind he had a big heart and everyone that knew him . Loved Him.

I'm very saddened of the death of Donnie!!He sure will be missed. My heart is broken into many pieces. Him and Amy were my best customers.Donnie of course the jokester made my day everytime I saw him. My heart goes out to you Amy. I will be at the memorial service when I get into Iowa.

Amy, my heart and prayers are with you. I could only image the times you had with you husband after all these Years. I am very Happy he stepped into your life and took your hand in marrige, he is a Blessing and has made you Happy in life. I cherrish you and him. He was everything to you I know he will be missed. Please keep your head up he is now in Heaven with our Father watching over you and your Family. I know he will always still be close to you even when he is physically not there. Donnie to hear of your passing was truly a sad moment for me though we were friends for a short time I feel as though I known you my whole life. I know I will miss the days of you giving me a hard time and me calling you an old man. I will cherish the memories that I have of the four of us laughing together.
