Service Details
Dixie L. Hand passed away on October 25, 2015, in Des Moines. She was born on May 29, 1944, in Des Moines to Richard and Juanita Juergens.
Dixie is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jim Hand; son, Jimmy (Kimberly) Hand; daughter, Jennifer (Jeremy) Parker; grandchildren, Quinton (Stefanie), David, Grant (Sarah), Olivia, Joseph and Philip; great-granddaughter, Aliza; and her parents, Richard and Juanita.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Peoria Cemetery in Maxwell, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to memorial services.

My memories of Dixie are from her younger days back in the Sixties. She had a warmth and kindness about her always. Her smile was full of sunshine. And, oh, how we all loved to watch her and Jim rocknroll! May all your precious memories of this wonderful lady bring you, her family she loved, peace and comfort.
