Gerald Dean Burkhead, Jr., 66, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Jerry was born October 19, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa to Alice and Gerald Dean Burkhead, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Melody; children, Michael (Tina), James (Chris), Patricia (Tim) Elliott, John (Peggy), and Matthew (Sarah); eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Cheryl, Larry, David, and Greg. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Sol.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015 at New Virginia Cemetery in New Virginia, Iowa.
